How do I join?

On Minecraft Java Edition, select Multiplayer on the title screen. Click Add Server, enter a name and type mc.ryanbester.com as the Address.

On Minecraft Bedrock Edition, on the Servers list, click Add Server. Enter a name and type mc.ryanbester.com as the address.

Can I connect on my Xbox One or PS4?

There is a tool called phantom that allows you to connect to Bedrock clients on Xbox One and PS4 instructions, or if you don’t have another device, you can use BedrockConnect, which works by changing your devices DNS server.

When I connect on Bedrock, why does my username have a period prefix?

This is used to generate UUIDs that are separate from Java UUIDs, so if you have the same username as a Java player, you will still have different player data.

How can I keep the same items in my inventory on my Java and Bedrock account?

You can link your Java and Bedrock accounts so your inventory will stay the same. Simply type /linkaccount [bedrock username] on your Java client then enter the command it gives you on your Bedrock client. Note that you will no longer be able to connect on both clients at the same time after linking your accounts.

Why is my movement sometimes jittery on Bedrock?

This is because Bedrock cannot handle distances past 65,000.

Is hacking allowed?

Hacking is not allowed on the RyanBester.com Minecraft server and will result in an instant ban.

Can I join with Optifine, Sodium, or other performance mods?

Performance mods are allowed on the RyanBester.com Minecraft server.

How often is the server backed up?

Each server is backed up every night.

What information is stored about me when I join?

The RyanBester.com Minecraft server will store your Minecraft username and your UUID to store your player data. This is public information and is available at NameMC.

I believe I have been wrongly banned. How can I become unbanned?
